Don’t be Afraid to Ask for Things

MENO Mistakes with Erika Hall, Co-founder of Mule Design

Heyo! Welcome to the MENO Mistakes Blogcast! MENO mistakes is all about this one big question:

If you could go back in time to the beginning of your career, what piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Today we have Erika Hall, co-founder and Director of Strategy at Mule Design Studio…which to us is kind of a big deal since Mule is easily one of the most influential design studios in North America.

Erika is a self-taught researcher and designer and as she puts it, “Just fell into Internet things”.

Erika speaks and writes frequently about cross-disciplinary collaboration and the importance of natural language in user interfaces. Her enthusiasm for evidence-based decision-making led her to write “Just Enough Research”, published by A Book Apart. She speaks frequently to local and international audiences on topics ranging from collaboration and design research to effective interface language. Her current talks explore the limits of using quantitative data to make design decisions.

In her spare time, she battles empty corporate jargon at Unsuck It and is also not afraid to appear on stage in a cinderella costume.

Hear what Erika has to say about what she would do differently if she could go back in time…

If you like Erika’s advice, tweet it out!
